This Privacy Policy describes how Runtime ("we", "our", or "us") collects, uses, and shares information when you use the Runtime mobile application ("the App").
1. Information We Collect
When you use Runtime, we collect the following information:
- Account information: Your email address and display name when you sign up or sign in.
- Gameplay data: Chapter progress, XP, mastery badges earned, and mini-game results.
- Device information: Device model, operating system version, and a device identifier used for crash diagnostics and ad personalization.
- Usage data: Interactions within the app, such as which chapters you start or complete.
2. How We Use Your Information
- To provide and personalize the App experience, including saving your progress across devices.
- To authenticate your account and keep it secure.
- To deliver optional rewarded advertisements through Google AdMob.
- To send local reminder notifications (only if you opt in).
- To diagnose crashes and improve stability.
3. Third-Party Services
Runtime relies on the following third-party services, each with their own privacy policies:
- Supabase — stores your account and progress. Supabase Privacy Policy
- Google AdMob — delivers rewarded ads. Google Privacy Policy
- Google Play Services — required for app distribution and functionality on Android devices.
4. Data Storage and Security
All data is transmitted over encrypted HTTPS connections. Account data is stored on Supabase servers; gameplay progress is also cached locally on your device so the App works offline. We use industry-standard security practices but cannot guarantee absolute security.
5. Children's Privacy
Runtime is intended for users aged 13 and older. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
6. Your Rights
You can request to access, update, or delete your account and associated data at any time by emailing us at the address below. We will respond within 30 days.
7. Advertising
Runtime shows rewarded ads only — these are opt-in videos you watch in exchange for in-app rewards. Ads are served by Google AdMob, which may use device identifiers for ad personalization. You can reset or disable your advertising identifier in your device settings.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we'll update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the App after changes means you accept the updated policy.
